HUNTING IN BULGARIA
The National Game Station “Chepino” is situated in west Rhodopes,
25 km away from the spa resort Velingrad, and about 130 km from the capital Sofia.
It occupies an area of ca. 30.000 ha. of typical mountainous relief with an altitude ranging between 800 and 2,200 m.
The game species are: Red Deer, Roe Deer, Wild Boar, Chamois, Capercaillie, Wolf and Bear.
The best trophies gained in the region of the Station are: Red Deer – 11.1 kg. Wild Boar – 24.5 cm. and Chamois – 110 CIC
points.
