Measurement nearest to 0,1 cm and 0,01 kg.

1. Lenght of main beam x 0,50 points:
Length of antler. This is measured along the outside edge of beam from the base of the coronet to the end of the longest tine in the crown. The tape will pass over shoulder that exists between the coronet and the main beam, and not pressed into the groove.

2. Length of brow tine x 0,25 points:
Length of brow tine. This is measured along the underside of the tine from the upper edge of the coronet to the extremity of the tine.

3. Length of tray tine x 0,25 points:
Length of tray tine. This is measured along the underside of the tine, from the place where it starts to emerge from the main beam to the extremity of the tine.

4. Circumference of coronet x 1 points:
Circumference of coronet.

5. Circumference of lower beam x 1 points:
Circumference of lower beam. Measured at the thinnest place between brow and tray tines,

6. Circumference of upper beam x 1 points:
Circumference of upper beam. Measured at the thinnest place between the tray tine and crown tines.

7. Weight (dry) of Antlers x 2 points:
Weight (dry) of Antlers. this is taken to the nearest 10 gram an should be taken at least three months after the animal has been killed. Depending on the size of the skull and the manner in which the skull has been cut, o,5 to 0,7 kilograms can be deducted from the gross weight.

8. Inside span 0-3 points:
Inside span. Less than 60 % of the average length of beam 0 points. From 60 to 69,9 % of the average length of beam 1 points. From 70 to 79,9 % of the average length of beam 2 points. 80 % and over of average length of beam 3 points.

9. Number of tine ends x 1 points:
Number of tines, In order to count, a tine must measure at least 2 cm in length.

10. Colour 0-2 points:
Colour. Light grey, yellowish, artificially coloured 0 points. Grey to light brown 1 points. Dark brown to black 2 points.

11. Pearling 0-2 points:
Pearling. Smooth 0 points. Average 1 points. Good 2 points.

12. Tine ends 0-2 points:
Tine ends. Blunt of porous 0 points. Pointed, but with brown coloured tips 1 points. Pointed, with white tips 2 points.

13. Bay tines 0-2 points:
Bay tines. Short 2-10 cm 0 - 0,5 points. Medium length 10,1 - 15 cm 0,5 - 1,0 points. Long more than 15 cm. 1 - 2 points.

14. Crown Tines 0-10 points:
Crown tines. All the tines situated above the tray tines will be considered part of the crown. The tines of the crown are defined as follows. Short 2 - 10 cm. Medium length 10,1 - 15 cm. Long more than 15 cm. A forked point will count as one point only here, and will be measured along its entire length.
Number of tines that make up the two crowns Points
5-7 short tines 1-2 points.
5-7 medium length tines 3-4 points.
5-7 long tines 4-5 points.
8-9 short tines 4-5 points.
8-9 medium length tines 5-6 points.
8-9 long tines 6-7 points.
10 and greater, short tines 6-7 points.
10 and greater, medium length tines 7-8 points.
10 and greater, long tines 9-10 points.
When the tines of the crown are of different lengths, then one should take the intermediate value.

15. Penalty Points 0-3 points:
Penalty points. Defects that warrant a deduction of points include irregular attachment of antlers to pedicles, pronounced lack of symmetry in the length of the beams (antlers) and any irregularity in the brow, bay or tray tines. Penalty points, however, will not apply to those irregularities which have already been taken into account with the measurement of individual tines, etc.
